EC4904: Principles of Economics (1st Year Undergraduate)

  • Role: Module Leader/Lecturer
  • Topics Covered: Introductory Microeconomics & Macroeconomics, Demand and Supply Analysis, Elasticity, Utility, Consumer Choice, Producer Cost Theory, Market Structures and Analysis, GDP, Cost of Living, Growth and Productivity, Labour Market & Unemployment, Money & Banking, Income Expenditure Model.
  • Teaching Methods Employed: Blended Delivery Module, Weekly Video Lectures and monthly in-person lectures, weekly activities on VLE (problem sets, tests, etc.), applied take-home final exam.

EC4101 & EC4111: Microeconomics (Business and Non-business) (1st Year Undergraduate)

  • No of Years Taught: 6
  • Role: Lead TA, coordinated all tutorial teaching on module, administration of over 600 students, teaching up to 10 tutorial sessions per week.
  • Topics Covered: Introductory Microeconomics, Demand and Supply Analysis, Elasticity, Utility, Consumer Choice, Producer Cost Theory, Market Structures and Analysis.

EC4102 & EC4112: Macroeconomics (Business and Non-business) (1st Year Undergraduate)

  • Topics Covered: Economic Modelling, Regression Analysis, OLS, Statistics, Classical Linear Regression, Homoscedasticity, Autocorrelation, Multicollinearity, Gauss-Markov Theorem, Hypothesis Testing, Multiple-Regression Analysis, Model Estimation, STATA, and R.

EC4427: Managerial Economics (4th Year Undergraduate)

EC4018 & EC4418: Monetary Economics (4th Year Undergraduate)

  • Topics Covered: Wage & Price Setting Theory, Money, Banking and Financial Systems, Unemployment, Inflation, Technological Progress, Creative Destruction, Institutions, and Instability.
